Tank Cleaning and Lining
AIPS were contracted to fibreglass line 6 x 42KL steel tanks. All were STP steel tanks in the order of 40-50 years old. The concrete above the tanks was cut and excavated to expose the tanks. Manways were fitted to gain access into each tanks for the cleaning and the lining process.
The E10 Abandoned tank was extremely dirty and full of rust. Dip tube and all pipework below 400mm was corroded beyond recognition. During testing it was noted the Dip tube risers on two tanks needed replacing when the pipework is being replaced. The integrity of all tanks passed testing.
